About Our Tours
We aim to provide memorable tours where our guests relax, have fun and experience the best of what New Zealand has to offer. At the end of a tour we hope to have made many friends with whom we keep in contact for years to come. Some features of our tours include:
Group size
We specialise in small groups typically up to 24 people), although larger groups can be accommodated on request.
Travel in comfort
Our customers’ safety and comfort is of paramount importance. We use comfortable, late-model vehicles which include our own 2010 Mercedes factory-fitted, 12-seater mini-van, complete with purpose-built luggage trailer.
Relaxed travel
We often travel the back roads which are not only quieter and more relaxing but can offer stunning scenery, many vantage points and places of interest. They often take no longer than using the main highways.
Travel time
Our philosophy is to allow time to enjoy your holiday rather than rushing from one place to the next; we look to avoid those long six-hour-plus coach trips that some operators include in their tours.
Flexibility
We aim to accommodate our guests’ needs and wishes as much as possible. We recognise that not all guests will want to play the same amount of golf and that abilities will vary. On our escorted tours you will be accompanied by both of us (Colin and Renée), which affords the opportunity to provide flexibility. Whilst one of us is escorting part of the group to a round of golf, the other may be taking the remaining guests to visit local attractions.
Catering for different needs
We may have some group members who are not confident golfers or are new to the game and would like to give it a try. Previously they may have been put off for a variety of reasons, such as feeling intimidated because their local courses are so busy or very formal. New Zealand is an ideal place to give golf a go; we can arrange coaching to suit individual needs and, as we are blessed with such an abundance of golf courses, we can arrange for part of the group to be playing on a championship course whilst another part of the group is playing on a country course nearby, which will probably be very quiet and only the neighbouring sheep will be watching you! The majority of these courses are surprisingly well maintained and very under-utilised.
To those golfers with non-playing partners, Colin thoroughly recommends getting your partners involved. Since enticing Renée to play golf, it has been great; he no longer has the guilt pangs when off playing golf as she is often out doing the same. It is also great to go away, put the golf clubs in the car and spend time together while doing something they both enjoy.
